The mosque is square in plan with the outer dimensions being approximately 84ft side. The main entrance door with is located at the centre of the mosque leads to the main prayer hall which is about 50ft side. The central hall has smaller chambers around it. The entrance is through a colonnaded portico or dalan which runs the entire length of the building. The first floor has a gallery over the ground floor portico. The four corners of the have square towers to represent minarets. The central portion of the pyramidal roof surmounts a dome. |

The building is essentially constructed in brick masonry and plastered over. It is replete with ornamentation most of which represents Kashmiri architectural elements. The interiors have portions of walls done in papier mache and others are paneled. The openings are covered with latticework or pinjrakari. The outer walls have also been excessively decorated with moulded plasterwork. The prayer hall is also very large being almost 50ft side. |
