The building is a towering one in its surrounding. The three storey building has a very prominent entrance, which is double height and located within a pointed arched recess in the middle of the building. The narrowness of the side wall indicates that there is a row of single rooms accessed by a corridor on each floor. The attic floor height is lower than the floors below with series of segmental arched windows overlooking the street. An element of interest is the rain-water drain running down the sides of the front face of the building. |

The building is constructed in exposed brick masonry. Moulded brick bands are used around the floor levels. The windows on the ground are almost lancet type in shape and the ones on the second floor are segmental arched. The attic floor windows follow the same shape as the ground floor windows but are lower in height. Moulded brick pilasters emphasise the central entrance opening. |
