The building has a large entrance gateway or deedh which leads to a small, double height courtyard with the roof extended out to cover it. The courtyard in turns leads to a portico or dalan with a series of wooden columns lining it. The plan of the building is U-shaped with the entrance from the centre leading onto a central hall which has rooms arranged around it. The most interesting and ornamental part of the house is the entrance dalan or porch which leads to the house, comprising series of carved wooden pillars. |

The building is mainly constructed in brick which is plastered with lime both externally as well as internally. Timber is used for construction of floor joists, ceiling and window door frames. All the windows are square shaped and set within segmental arched openings. While most of the windows are paneled, the windows in the attic are mullioned. |
