| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The Shiv temple holds significant value for the locals as the temple and the site around it is used for ceremonial purposes and for holding religious melas. The complex was supposedly built by an influential local, Anantram Tehsildar for the local pujari. The dharamsala was used by pujari as a living quarter and was also used as an inn by pilgrims. The property has since been gone into disuse and the present pujari is living in a new house across the River. |

The dharamsala is a two-storey building with a pronounced linear plan. The building is supported on a high stone plinth. The rooms are small and accessed from a central corridor. The first floor has a projecting wooden balcony with an arched front. These arches may have been infilled with latticed screens which have been lost over time. |

The principal building materials employed for the temple are locally available flat stones almost the size of slate for the plinth. The plinth is tied with sections of wooden laid over stones at each of the four corner of the building. The superstructure is constructed in stone and tied with wooden joists. The whole building is plastered with a thick layer of mud, which is however detaching from the face of the building. |
