Plinth above, the structure is tied with floor beams of almost 1ft section. The superstructure is mostly constructed in a combination of timber and stone. The corner pillars are constructed in headers and stretchers of timber laid one over another and the inner sanctum is constructed in stone masonry which is plastered with lime. The roof cover still retains the original slate tiles. The ceiling joists are arranged in a concentric pattern. The outer portico or the circumambulator has wooden arched front. |
