| Description of Building/ Structure/Site
इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण |
The copious two-storey building has its own style and decoration and is barely similar to any of the heritage properties in the area. The property is surrounded by sweeping apples orchards on all sides and has spectacular views from almost all its faces. The first floor is constructed in dhajji-dewari while the ground floor is in exposed lime-pointed brick construction. The building has elaborate sitting decks on the first as well as the attic floor and an additional octagonal viewing tower at one end. The house has large and high-ceilinged rooms and a main central hall on the second floor replete with hunted trophies and historic family pictures. |

Primarily constructed in brick masonry, the use of timber for construction of floor joists, decorative khatamband ceiling and panels and balconies is also excessive. The interiors are excessively decorated with moulded plasterwork. The other decorative details include iron hand-rails and steel eaves-board - a common feature of the area. The central portion of roof the building elevates to accommodate an open deck in the attic. All the windows are pointed arched with mullioned stain glass panels. |
