A two storey, tall and dominating building in the area. The building has a more horizontal orientation which is balanced by its height. The entrance is through a grand doorway having slender columns on each side of the heavy paneled and ornamented and door. The brick columns are the highlights of the building and go up to the ceiling level of the second floor. The roof of the building is raised in the centre to accommodate and spacious attic below. The house has elaborate decorative details, both externally and internally. |

The foundation and plinth of the building are in dressed stone, laid in very little mortar. Plinth above, the building is constructed in exposed rubbed, soft bricks which are the unique characteristic of the house. The use of mortar is very little which makes the quality of exceptionally good bricks noticeable. The windows are square and partly glazed and paneled. Moulded brick bands run the length of the building at floor levels. There are elaborate decorative details within and outside the building like wooden brackets, carved wooden doors and iron railings and khtamband ceiling and moulded brick plinth bands. The entrance door set within a huge frame is heavy paneled is also a remarkable ornamental feature of the property. |
