The building is influenced by colonial architecture of the Valley. Although architecturally it may not be of outstanding quality; but it does demonstrate a shifting trend from purely traditional to the prevailing popular colonial architectural trend of the time. |

The building is presently the last one to be built on this mountain slope, beyond which the landscape becomes wilder in quality. It is a two storey linear building with the entrance in the centre through a portico and is emphasized by two bay windows on each side of the entrance which start from the ground and go up to the first floor. Above the entrance, on the first floor, is an open portico or verandah which overlooks the garden below. An interesting feature of the house is the roof which, although, is flat and is covered with earth, has remnants of wooden eaves board. This indicates that the sloping roof may have been purposely removed. |

Visual observation shows that the house is constructed in stone and plastered and whitewashed externally. The ceiling is constructed in timber. Most of the windows have glazed and panelled shutters and are square in shape. |
