निर्मित धरोहर / स्थल से सम्बंधित स्थानीय/ परम्परागत विवरण		 The property sits within a cluster of houses belonging to the same family (seen as a trend in many areas of Bhaderwah) which obviously suggests that certain families preferred to live closely in the same neighbourhood, if not in the same house.

Description of Building/ Structure/Site
इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण 		The building has a strong colonial character as seen in its external features. The main southern fa ade is highlighted by two bay windows continuing from ground to the first floor on each side of the central entrance which, terminate with their own roof at the second floor. The entrance also significantly projects out from the building face and is also in the form of a three-sided bay. The central portion of the building is highlighted by a porch which continues on the first and the attic floor. The attic floor is raised to accommodate the spacious portico resembling a pent roof. The building form indicates that it is symmetrical with rooms arranged around the main central hall.

प्रयोग में लाई गई इमारती / संरचनागत सामग्री और अन्य घटक		 The principal construction materials are brick and timber. The attic is constructed in traditional dhajji-dewari style. The details of fenestration are simple, rectangular and most of the windows are glazed and mullioned. The sills in the ground floor bay windows are rather decorative with each face having a square recessed panel. The ground floor sill slightly projects out from the building face to form a continuous horizontal band along the length of the building. Each face of the bay is surrounded by a projecting square brick frame, emphasising the vertical quality of the property. The slightly decorative eaves board is of metal as opposed to wood.
