The entrance to the house is from a grand deedh which has a double cusp-arched opening and a heavily ornamented wooden door. The house is enclosed within a high wall. The entrance from the gateway leads to the private courtyard surrounded by a high wall that has series of recessed decorative arches. The house is single storey and built linearly along one end of the courtyard. The rooms are arranged in series along the open passage. |

The main component of the building material is lakhori brick which is left exposed externally and lime plastered internally. Lime plaster is also used to decorate the interiors with mouldings. The ceiling has timber joists and is left exposed on the underside. The roof is flat covered with brick bats and finished with a thick layer of lime mortar. The windows and doors are square wooden paneled but have moulded and arched brick surrounds. |
