| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The small church was constructed in 1942 and was dedicated by Dr. Gomree the first Medical superintendent of the adjoining John Bishop memorial Hospital. The Church is mostly used by missionaries working in the hospital and is run by Church of North India, an organization belonging to the Protestant Christian community of India. |

The John Bishop Memorial Hospital was set up in 1902 by Protestant missionaries to provide medical care to the local inhabitants. The money for the hospital was donated by Mrs Isabel Bird, in memory of her husband Dr. John Bishop. According to locals the land for the hospital was donated by the local Muslim community. The hospital is generally referred to as Mission hospital and includes a number of ancillary buildings including the Church. |

The church comprises of a small single storey structure constructed entirely in stone with a sloping roof. The main entrance to the building is from a small wooden porch on the northern side. The building fa ade comprises a series of arches Islamic pointed arches with beautiful infill of wooden pinjrakari. The same pinjrakari has also been used in the porch. The building could not be accessed internally. |

The building has been constructed in load bearing rubble stone masonry, though the corners are in ashlar masonry. The porch as well as the truss is in wood. The ceiling of the building has been done in khatamband and the building is said to have wooden flooring. |
