The house is located on the old Sarnal road which comprises of a series of three to four adjoining houses with mixed residential and commercial usage. Many of the houses have shops on the ground floor, which continue to be used for commercial purpose. |

The property has three floors with the top or second floor having an almost C-shaped, continuous, projected wooden gallery. The ground floor has a shop which opens out onto the road. The building has a side entrance which leads to a staircase lobby. While the ground floor has partly been put to commercial use, the first floor has private rooms. Most of the second floor has been occupied by a large hall. |

The principal materials used in the construction of the building are stone, brick and wood, with mud mortar. The structural system of the building comprises load bearing brick walls with wooden floor joists. The main building facade overlooking the road comprises series segmental arched window openings and a projecting wooden bay dub running along the entire length of the second floor. According to the owner the ceiling comprises of exposed wooden planks and joists as well as khatamband in some of the rooms. Internally the walls are mud plastered and the floors are covered with sathrun mud flooring in most of the rooms barring the entrance lobby which has PCC flooring. The top floor of the building is in a dilapidated condition. The building is covered with a traditional pitched roof comprising CGI sheets supported on wooden truss. |
