Topographical Description / स्थलाकृतिक विवरण The property is located within the interior of the Kadipora locality. The area is also popular for the presence of a natural spring Gaj Nag and locally important shrine of Hazrat Syed Simanai Sahib. The neighbourhood is fairly plain and devoid of much plantation.

निर्मित धरोहर / स्थल से सम्बंधित स्थानीय/ परम्परागत विवरण		 The Mohalla (or locality) was traditionally commercially active with most houses carrying out their businesses from the shops in the ground floor, while living on the upper residential quarters of the building. Therefore, this street stretch mostly consists of residential-commercial mixed use properties. The tall buildings, each abutting the other creates a wall-like profile for the Kadipora street. The street is also popular for the presence of a two springs (Nag) here; one of them known as Gaj Nag.

इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण 		The building comprises three floors which are accessed by means of an entrance at one end. The house consists of one large room on one side of the corridor on both ground and the first floor. The second floor, however, consists of a large hall which is used for social gatherings. The large rooms can be converted into two rooms with the help of wooden vertical screens called varusi locally. Each room is embellished with hand-painted murals or naqashi and consists of series of arched recesses in the walls to accommodate features like shelves. The ground floor windows are smaller in size, almost like ventilators, for better privacy.

प्रयोग में लाई गई इमारती / संरचनागत सामग्री और अन्य घटक		 The main materials of construction used in the building are exposed bricks and timber. There are various decorative features applied to the external surface. A row of four paneled windows, on each floor, line the face of the building. The windows are adorned with latticework pinjrakari sills. The decorative wooden frieze band that conceals the wooden floor joists at each floor level is also a decorative feature of the house.
