Topographical Description / स्थलाकृतिक विवरण The property along with two others, that belong to the Hafiz family almost form a cluster of three houses in the interior of the Kadipora locality. The area is also popular for the presence of a natural spring Gaj Nag. The neighbourhood is fairly plain and devoid of much plantation. The cluster is situated in close proximity almost abutting to the hill along which the Kadipora neighbourhood is located.

निर्मित धरोहर / स्थल से सम्बंधित स्थानीय/ परम्परागत विवरण		 The Mohalla (or locality) was traditionally commercially active with most houses carrying out their businesses from the shops in the ground floor, while living on the upper residential quarters of the building. Therefore, this street stretch mostly consists of residential-commercial mixed use properties. The tall buildings, each abutting the other creates a wall-like profile for the Kadipora street. The street is also popular for the presence of two springs (Nag) here; one of them known as Gaj Nag.

Description of Building/ Structure/Site
इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण 		Located at the base of a hill, this property has four floors. The plan is rectangular in shape of which the longer side consists of a centrally located entrance which leads on to a corridor with two rooms on each of its side. While the first three floors have the same plan, in the third floor, the rooms are replaced by an open and spacious hall which is traditionally used for large social gatherings. The hall has a projecting wooden dub bay window or jharoka on the longer side of the building face.

प्रयोग में लाई गई इमारती / संरचनागत सामग्री और अन्य घटक		 The main building materials are brick and timber. The building is plastered in cement on the outside which seems to have replaced the original lime plaster. The fenestration details are largely plain, being square in shape and glazed. All the windows have wooden sills dill-paet . Each floor has a wooden frieze band which conceals the wooden joists behind.
