| Local / Traditional description associated with Built Heritage / Site निर्मित धरोहर / स्थल से सम्बंधित स्थानीय/ परम्परागत विवरण |
The Mohalla (or locality) was traditionally commercially active with most houses carrying out their businesses from the shops in the ground floor, while living on the upper residential quarters of the building. Therefore, this street stretch mostly consists of residential-commercial mixed use properties. The tall buildings, each abutting the other creates a wall-like profile for the Kadipora street. The street is also popular for the presence of a spring (Nag) here; known as Gaj Nag. |

| Description of Building/ Structure/Site
इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण |
The building is a neat construction and interesting for its location at the end of an alley which is used as an opportunity to highlight the corner of the building which is a three storey construction. The ground floor has a shop which faces the road and an additional room at the rear of the shop. The building is narrow on the front but has wider side which indicates it has a rectangular plan. The top is surmounted by a pent roof. Going by the form of the building, it appears that it has two rooms on either side of the corridor on the first floor. |

The main materials of construction used in the building are exposed bricks and timber. There are various decorative features applied to the external surface. The corner is especially highlighted by a supporting stone pilaster which has a decorative frieze band at the top. A row of two paneled windows, on each floor, line the face of the building. The windows are adorned with latticework pinjrakari sills. The decorative wooden frieze band that conceals the wooden floor joists is also another highly decorative feature of the house. |
