The Mohalla (or locality) was traditionally commercially active with most houses carrying out their businesses from the shops in the ground floor, while living on the upper residential quarters of the building. Therefore, this street stretch mostly consists of residential-commercial mixed use properties. The tall buildings, each abutting the other creates a wall-like profile for the Kadipora street. The street is also popular for the presence of a spring (Nag) here; known as Gaj Nag. |

The building is three-storey high of which the rear of the ground floor is occupied by the tandoor and the front by shop from where the traditional bread is sold. The staircase to access the upper floors is at the rear of the house which has only a single room in the first as well as the second floor. The ground floor has a large shop facing the road and a single room behind it which contains a staircase to access the upper floors. |

The building is primarily constructed in sun-dried mud bricks. The load bearing building is plastered on the outside as also on the inside with mud. The windows on the front face are large, square and fully paneled with only the top panels being of glass. The flooring on the ground floor must originally have been in mud but has been replaced by plain cement. The flooring on the first and the second floor is in mud supported on wooden joists. |
