| Topographical Description / स्थलाकृतिक विवरण | The temple is located amidst a cluster of Chinar trees within the Ragnya Temple complex. This village is also known as Lokutpur and is about a kilometer from the shrine of Aishmuqam. The village has slightly undulating terrain with a number of fresh water springs and is fairly forested. |

| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | It is said that the site consists of five springs which are together called the Panchtatva representing the five elements of life. One of the springs is also called Kali Nag for the blackish quality of its water. The springs are revered for their association with the ancient Hindu texts of Kashmir. |

The temple complex is said to have its origins to the times of Satisar and is held with great reverence by the local Pandit community. The area is said to have been the seat of goddess Ragnya. A few kilometers west of the village, is the shrine of Hazrat Zain Shah at Aishmuqam which is equally significant for the local populace. |

The five natural springs are called the Panchtatva, four of these springs are about 10ft X 12ft in size and the biggest one is about 12ft X 15ft. The water from all the springs unites and departs from the temple site in the form of a stream. The springs are almost square in shape and are lined with boulders. One of the springs has a niche in its wall which held the deity of goddess Ragnya. The deity is believed to be at least a thousand year old. |
