A flight of steps lead to the mandapa which is an open pillared hall,built on a raised platform. The mandapa has 16 pillars and are endowed with bracket figurines. There is a raised platform in the centre to place the deity of the Chakrapani Temple for bath. The another series of steps at the rear side of the mandapa leads to the river Cauvery, which is known as Chakrapani Padithurai . |
