This is a very peculiar temple displaying a fusion of Vijayanagar, Maratha and Agraharam styles. There is a small gopuram above the main entrance and below the gopuram is the tinnai, behind which is the reli. The main Mandapa contains granite pillars which are square and octagonal at different levels of their height. The pillars are adorned with intricate sculptures. Behind this outer mandapa there is a pillared inner mandapa. An ornate maratha sikara dome is seen above the main sanctum-sanctorum. Vault-roofed rooms containing idols are found to the right of the Garbagriha. |
