| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | Chainpur was once the seat at Sakarwar Rajputs. The most important chief of the family was Raja Saliwahen. The fort of Chainpur was attributed to him from the style of the principal gate is evident that it is a building of the time of Mughal period. |

The fort of Chainpur is surrounded by a moat and having rampart at stone. A large handsome gate on the north sidi and a small gate on the south the space within has been filled with building partly brick, partly stone, but the structures are mostly ruined and only a remnant remain. Harshu Barham is now represented by a piece of stone and worshiped as such by the people of locality. |
