The site is scattered over an area of 300X200meter and there are trees, shrubs, a modern Shiva temple comprising Shiva linga on it and the peripheral area of the mound is being used for agriculture. The main ceramics of the site are Painted Gray Ware, Black slipped ware, orange-red slipped ware, grey ware and red ware. A terracotta head of Nagamesha broken below neck, which has a hole on the top to hang on the wall, the face is blunt and featureless with slit lips. In the same way both the elongated ears are also made with sharp incisions, a terracotta gamesman stopper Plate IX.4 and a terracotta disc, a head of Vishnu on sand stone, wears a decorated Kirita Mukuta, both the eyes are half closed, the eye brows are defused, nose and chin are partly damaged, the muscular rounded face. Few remains of an early medieval temple at the site or in the area containing pillar, doorjambs and part of stone sculptures are kept out side of the temple. |
