| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The building dates back to the early 20th century. The building was constructed by Ghulam Hassan Bhat who was running a provisional store in the area. Ghulam Qadir Gojri who is a labour is the present owner of the House. |

Like the historic town of Srinagar, Baramulla is yet another significant town located on the banks of River Jhelum. The principal occupation of the people for many generations has been that of fruit business and therefore the area around the town is seen dotted with many sprawling apple orchards. A number of significant religious places for both Hindus and Muslims are seen in and around the town. |

The building has three floors the ground floor has two rooms on each side of the centrally located corridor and a large room on the other side. The first floor again has the same plan as the ground floor and the second floor is supplemented with a large hall, instead of rooms. The building has two wooden dubs which project from the second floor. |

The materials involved in the construction of this building include burned bricks, mud and lime plaster, deodar wood for door window frames and panels. Internally the walls are mud plastered except for the ground floor, which has been recently plastered with cement and painted. The flooring of the building is covered with sethrun mud flooring . The ceiling consists of wooden joists and planks. The fa ade of the building has rectangular windows in the ground and the second floor while as the first floor has arched windows of. The external surface of the ground floor of the building has been recently plastered with cement. |
