Like the historic town of Srinagar, Baramulla is yet another significant town located on the banks of River Jhelum. The principal occupation of the people for many generations has been that of fruit business and therefore the area around the town is seen dotted with many sprawling apple orchards. A number of significant religious places for both Hindus and Muslims are seen in and around the town. |

The building has three floors. The ground floor has two shops and four rooms behind the shops, the first floor has seven rooms and the second floor has six rooms. The entrance to the building is through a narrow alley which leads to the rear of the building where the main entrance is located. The front profile of the building has three layers of distinctive architectural characteristics provided by the different types of windows on each successive floor. The ground floor has large shop windows, the first has series of four pointed arched window openings and the second floor consists of rectangular windows. The building is taq-based, consisting of four taqs. |

The materials used in the construction of this structure are stone for plinth, bricks for walls, and wooden doors and window frames. The brick masonry is done in mud mortar. Internally the walls are mud plastered and the ceiling is made up of wooden beams. The pointed windows in the first floor consist of ornamental window surrounds. |
