| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The original owner of this building was Mohammad Sultan Waza who was a professional cook wazas are cooks involved with the traditional Kashmiri cuisine, wazwan . The building was sold to Ghulam Nabi about 30 years ago. The building has been constructed in the mid 20th century. |

Like the historic town of Srinagar, Baramulla is yet another significant town located on the banks of River Jhelum. The principal occupation of the people for many generations has been that of fruit business and therefore the area around the town is seen dotted with many sprawling apple orchards. A number of significant religious places for both Hindus and Muslims are seen in and around the town. |

This property is a four storied structure with three floors built in burnt bricks and one floor in wood. The ground floor has five rooms, first floor has four rooms, the second floor has five rooms and the third floor has a large hall. The building has a central entrance which leads to the staircase going to the upper floors. The walls in the ground floor have been plastered in cement from outside. Internally the walls are plastered in mud. A continuous wooden gallery projects from the front face of the building on the third floor. |

The materials used in this building include maharaji bricks masonry for walls, stone masonry for plinth, mud plaster for inner surfaces of the walls, wooden door and window panels. The ground floor has rectangular windows while as the first and the second floor has pointed arched windows. |
