According to local myth, the temples were built by Panavas. Prithvinath by Bhima, Pacharan nath by Arjun, Loknath by Yudhisthir and Amrit nath was by Nakul and Sahadev. The mythological name of this place was Chakranagari then it was called Belchakara and now its name is Jhali Dham. Here Pandavas passed their one year of Agyatvas. |

The area of the site is 100X50 meter. There was the series of four temples- Prithivinath, Pacharan nath, Loknath, and Amritnath. The Prithivinath temple is situated on the mound was founded by Bhima, and further it was renovated made by Ram Chandra Paramhans Giri in 1282. But the temples appear to have been built by Gahadavala kings. IAR 1962 there is a Sanctum sanctorum and Pradakshinapath with idols of Ganesha, Jain 10-11th cent. AD and some eroded sculptures in the temples. The site consists of red ware. |
