| Topographical Description / स्थलाकृतिक विवरण | Fatehgarh Sahib district forms a part of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. It is composed of the materials deposited by the rivers during recent geological past. Its land surface slopes in the north-east-south-east direction with gentle gradient of about 0.8 metre per kilometer. The whole area of the Fatehgarh Sahib district is covered by Indo-Gangetic alluvium. The structure lies in the semi-urban setup of the city. |
