In a visible quarry section, 0.5-0.10 m of indurated ferricrite gravels were noted consituting the artefact horizon and overlying a Cenozoic laterite profile. The ferricrete gravel is capped by 1.5 m of compact sands 10 YR 7 4 and 10 R6 6 , which are are archaeologically sterile. |
