The historic Kos Minar stands tall near a modern busy road and has surrounded by many modern buildings. It is a cylindrical and tapering minar. It has three horizontal divisions, which are marked by mouldings. The base is octagonal in shape and made up of dressed stone rubble masonry and finished with lime plaster. The middle portion still have traces of coating of lime plaster.The topmost portion of the minar is domical in shape.There are few arched openings over the minar. |
