The well is excavated and constructed very near to Biran ka Gumbad, a Lodi period tomb, so this is one factor which locate it in the Lodi period another factor is that the building material and the style of rubble masonry is also very similar to the tomb. The well is built up of stone by using rubble masonry. The well is very deep and now it is covered by iron grill. There are beams made up of sandstone joining the overhead panels on the top section of the well for drawing the water up. There is enough space created for the number of people to draw up the water. The well has been recently restored. |
