It is a large lake that sprawls over an area that comprises several hospices, tombs and walled structures of the period of Alauddin Khalji and successive sultans of Delhi. Firoz Shah s tomb which is constructed behind it provides it a rare historic ambiance. The lake has some traces of pavements that belong to historic period. |
