Description of Building/ Structure/Site
इमारत/संरचना/स्थल का विवरण
The impressive gateway is a two-bay deep pointed arched structure made of Lakhori brick and furnished with a wooden door. There is a cusped arch on the front facade and three pointed arch opening inside. The gateway has late Mughal characteristics; on entering the gateway the facade of the building on both the sides continues to maintain the character of the street and is important, with rooms opening on the street and on to the balcony on the first floor. The stone brackets and projecting balcony are important features. It seems that the gateway was probably made for the defensive purpose of a grand residential building. The building has a decorative and ornamental facade, with carving on sandstone. The balcony railing is an ornamental stone jali. The facade of the gateway is painted range.
