This is said to be the oldest Jain temple in Shahjahanabad. The present-day temple building was constructed after the fall of the Mughal Empire. The temple is greatly venerated. It is commonly known as Lal Mandir. It is said that the deities in the temple were originally kept in a tent belonging to an Agrawal Jain officer of the Mughal army. The present lofty shikhara for a temple is of post-Independence.

The Jain community celebrates many social and religious functions annually. The superb Jain festival is popularly known as Paryushan Parva organized every year in the auspicious month Bhadrapad from the fifth day to the fourteenth day of the bright fortnight.Lord Parasvanath procession or Rathyatra being celebrated on Kartik Purnima in November. Das Lakshan Parva being celebrated in the month of September, it is a festival of ten virtues observed by all Digambar Jains in 10 days, during these 10 days they strictly observe the 10 dharma as written in Tattvarthdhigama Sutra. The temple is quite popular among the people as devotees come and make offerings.

The gigantic temple is dedicated to one of the 23rd Tirthankara, Parashvanath. The Architecture of the temple boasts detailed carvings and decorative paintwork in the ante-chambers that surrounding the main shrine to the Parshvanath on the first floor. The main temple along with Manastambha is planned and the manastambha column stands in front of the temple. The richly carved forecourt pillars, arches, and mandapa of the temple are simply amazing. It is reached by ascending to the terrace after crossing the courtyard of the temple, surrounded by a colonnaded verandah. The main shrine adorns with gilded paintwork. It is displaying some ardent craftsmanship such as stained cut glass work and in layed archways. The main shrine is a vaulted chamber decorated with enormous painting work, with central pendants almost like chandeliers in their delicacy and grace where the main deity is placed on a vedi, above which Shikhar located with Urushikharas and Amalaka which itself crowned with Kalasha at the top. The temple has undergone many additions and alterations but still retains some of the original elements. The prayer chamber ceilings have been repainted fluted Shahjahani columns in white marble can also be seen.

The building is constructed of brick masonry and marble finished with plaster. Addition and alteration has been made with modern brick masonry. Cement and concrete.
