| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The well is in the close proximity of Madarsa and pavilion of Firoz Shah Tughlaq and is of historical significance. Well were often constructed close to the mosque, temple and residential areas and it is one of them which also became an epitome of the art and architecture of the local people. During Tughlaq period inhabitants used wells, tanks as water sources in absence of the perennial source of water. |

The well is circular in plan and constructed with an elevated circular platform reached by flight of four steps. The land surface around the well mounded so that surface water runs away from the well and is not allowed to pond around and outside of the wellhead. There is a pump room contiguous to the well on the western side indicates that it was a living well sometimes before. |
