| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | Shaikh Hasan Tahir lived during the time of Sultan Bahlol Lodi and Sikander Lodi. It is related that one of the brother of Sultan Sikandat, was his disciple. The present Bijai Mandal complex was ones occupied as a residence by the saint, who breathed his last there in 1503 A.D, and was buried in the neighborhood. |

The enclosure contains the grave of a saint Shaikh Hasan Tahir, which is largest one and always kept covered with green cloth which has its own religious value and other unknown plastered grave of descendants of the saint. To the west of these graves is a red sandstone mihrab built into a small rubble wall with is coated with plaster. It is approx. 2.5 m in height, and is ornamented with a carved pendent in the centre. The enclosure seems to be ones a part of the large building with an entrance doorway on the east. |
