Not much is known about the Shaikh Imaduddin Firdousi, most probably he was one of the revered Susi saint. Hazrat Imaduddin Firdousi is included in one of the 22 Khawaajgaan of delhi, Here the Aastana is used for religious purpose. He died in 1329 A.D.

Local tradition says that he was a Sufi saint buried there. Devotees are offering their prayers and perform rituals with flowers and incense sticks. Periodically Langar has also been organized.

The remarkable tomb is square in plan and built of rubble masonry. The wall externally is faced with local grey stone and is relieved with arches with attached pilasters and carved capitals made of the same material, the arches being framed in red sandstone. The building is coated with white plaster. It is entered through an arched opening on the west and consists of two aisles, each containing three compartments, and in the central compartment of the northern aisle exists a grave. On either side of the entrance, there is a flight of nine steps leading up to the roof on which are placed two or three cenotaphs. Broken ceramic tiles have been applied uniformly on the floor, wall and roof. Zafar Hasan describes thus; It measures approx 14.64 sq. m externally, stand on a platform 21.96 sq. m and 0.91 m in height. And in the central compartment of the northern aisle exists a ruined grave. The enclosure has been greatly altered.

The principal material is the rubble masonry with which the foundation and the superstructure are constructed and coated with plaster. Red sandstone and local grey stone has also been used in this building. Modern building materials in addition to ceramic tiles has also used in the building.
