| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | This important well is of Lodhi-era AD 1451-1526 and is dressed stone-built structures. Delhi has the Yamuna flowing through it, and has been capital seven times. The need to tap groundwater, store rainwater and to make it accessible to the human population living surrounding has led to the construction of several tanks and well. Well were often constructed close to the mosque, temple and residential areas and it is one of them. |

The living well is circular in plan and has a diameter of approx. 4 m. and a dressed stone facing. The depth of the well is about 30 m and it has dressed ashlar stone masonry wall. The well is still in use through the water is pulled up through electric pumps. |
