Sheikh Zainuddin Ali Awadhi was a murid disciple of renowned Sufi mystic and saint Hazrat Nisiruddin Mahmood Chirag-e-Delhi. During his stay in Delhi he continued to visit Ayodhya often where he made a number of disciples, Sheikh Zainuddin Ali Awadhi was one of them and he became Khalifa after Hazrat Nisiruddin Mahmood Chirag-e-Delhi.

The domed building consists of an octagonal chattri with a diameter of approx. 5.85 m. There is twelve grey stone pillars support the hemispherical plastered dome which springs from a high octagonal drum which has ornamented Kangura battlement. The dome has a finial over it. There is a chajja all around the building, over which is a frieze of local stone. The structure contains a gravestone surrounded by an enclosure of marble.
