The central act of worship is puja, a ritual to engage the senses of the devotee. Puja can be performed on an elaborate scale in a temple at the time of Shivratri and on a smaller scale in every month by the people living in adjacent Dharmashala and nearby family. Some people perform Yagnas during Maha Shivratri. This is said to improve the welfare of Earth and provide auspicious vibrations through the globe. |

The beautiful small temple lies in the inner court of Dharmsala. It has a domed roof. The dome is rested on drum. The drum of the dome decorated with lotus petal band in golden color. The dome is crowned with inverted lotus crating and topped by gilded pinnacle. There is a Chajja all around the building. |
