Not much is known about Saiyad Jalaluddin, most probably he was a Sufi saint of 14th century, as revealed from popular memory.

Local tradition says that he was a Sufi saint buried there. The shrine is a favorite to locals and people irrespective of religion visit the dargah everyday to pay homage to the saint. Devotees are offering their prayers and perform rituals with flowers and incense sticks. Periodically Langar has also been organized here.

The monumental dargah is built on an elevated rectangular platform approached by step staircase. Over the grave is a square arched pavilion with three semi circular arched openings on each face. It is roofed by a shallow dome. The gravestone wrapped in grass green chaddar contains a religious value. Floral motifs are observed in the interior part of the tomb adorned with gold and silver decoration. The grave is enclosed by two low enclosure, a marble balustrade inside the metal lattice work. Over the grave is a small chandelier like structure, which is decorated with floral motif in the center of the roof, supported by four golden fluted columns. The cenotaph measures approx. 2 m by 1.14 m. The dargah is surrounded by a boundary wall within the Jahapanah forest.

The structure is built of random rubble masonry at plinth level. The superstructure of the dargah is constructed of brick masonry and concrete.
