The main gateway to the Dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin. The gateway leads directly to the courtyard of the dargah. Dargah is visited by thousands of visitors every day for the great saint Nizamuddin Auliya. |

The huge gateway is three bay deep with pointed arch opening. The marble enclosure from its eastern side of this high gateway seems to have been a later addition. The facade is decorated with a floral medallion on its spandrels with incised plaster carvings. It is painted in green and white. There is an inscription inscribed on white marble, written in Arabic fixed on its facade. The vibrant paint is a later addition, so are the calligraphic inscriptions on the facade of the arched entrance and the front face. |
