Ridge area. It lies in area between the flood plain of river Yamuna and Delhi Ridge. Delhi Ridge is a northern extension of ancient Aravalli Range.

This monumental gurudwara is associated with the Tenth Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It commemorates his meeting in 1707 with Prince Muazzam, later Emperor Bahadur Shah. He had been requested by the Prince for help in his battle for succession for the throne with his brother, after the death of Aurangzeb. Guru Sahib met the Prince at this place and together, they drew up their strategy. Later at this place Sardar Bhagel Singh first built a shrine in 1783, when a huge Sikh army under his command conquered Delhi, which is known as Gurdwara Damdama Sahib.

The raagis recite, sing and explain the verses from the Guru Granth Sahib, in the presence of the congregation.Specially shabad kirtanis recited daily at morning and evening and after that katha gurubani . Worshippers are offered Karah Prashad in the hall. There is an important festival celebrated during the month of February and March. The premise serves the Langar, almost all day, which is free meal to all the visitors, irrespective of the caste and creed.

The gigantic edifice is three storyed building constructed near Humayun s Tomb. It is supported by wall and has highly ornate domed roof dominating the building. The courtyard surrounding the central building, accessible from the road level by a flight of stairs. The ground floor comprises with foliated arched verandah followed by rooms. Immediately upon stepping within at second floor, is a mesmerizing shrine called Darbar Sahib built entirely from ornamented with floral and religious motifs embossed into the gold painted work, where Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy book of Sikhs kept on a takhalmmlolt under the bronze canopy in a prominent central position. The high rise roof has massive chandeliers like resembles, painted in gold.The upper most floors has ribbed dome surmounted by lotus cresting with pinnacle.
