The Purani haveli was once reputed to be the residence of Mir. Momin, the peshwadurig the reign of Mohammed Quli qutub shah v. In 1777 A.D. Nawab Mir. Nizam Ali Khan-Nizam II, Acquired a part of the purani haveli, and constructed a residential building for his son Sikander Jah-Nizam III. Since the acquistion by Nizam II, he and his successors added a number of buildings. Nizam- V was born here and Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali Khan made it his residence. Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khand added the ancillary building ect.. There are II bildings constituting the purani haveli only the Baradari building is open to the public.the main building is a specimen of 18 century European architecture. |
