The eastern gate is in a dilapidated condition, while the northern gate is in good condition. The original place was in possession of Mubaris Khan, the Subedar of the Deccan, appointed by the Mughal Emperor, before Hyderabad was taken over from him by Asaf Jah-. Later on it was occupied by Nawab Mir Alam Nawab Muneer-Ul-Mulk Diwan Salar Jung-I. It was under Sri Salar Jung- I, that the palace become very important, and was known as Diwan Devdi All that we find of the Devdi are its 2 gates, facing to the north and east. The eastern gate is in ruins. The northern gate consists of 3 arches. The arches were constructed in multiple small semi-circular shapes, with canopied windows on either side of the pink gate.
