The Jham Singh temple was built by rajput cavilier Jham singh who flourished during the reign of Nizam III Nawab Sikanderjah Bahadur . Jham Singh held the military rank of Kumandan, and was commander of remounts. He was appointed to purchas horses for the royal family. The temple is also known for its architectural value. It was built in the regional Mughal variation style. The main entrance of the temple faces east which is adorned with a gopuram. On the opposite side of the main gate, there is a double storved naqqarkhana. In the center is a big 12 pillared mandapam. The temple contains idols. in the southern direction of the temple there is a well. |
