Presidency college is a two storey horizontally planned structure in Red brick and stone the structure is crucifix in plan with colonnaded verandahs. it stretches horizontally front north to south with an entrance portico in the center on the eastern side the exterior has been dressed with grey stone up to 1st floor with a combination of stone and brick in the second floor. The entrance porch leads to the lobby, inside there a majestic wooden staircase in carved wood. The interior is in lows South Indian colors the dome is in center lends a certain majestic elegance. The overall style is Indo-Saracenic with a few neo-classical features. |
