This is a very large stone temple with separate sub shrines for ranganatha telliasingar, rama vedavalli andal . Historically. The temple is dated to the pallava period 8th cent A.D. The temple was extensively renovated and extended dur vijayanagar times. the 36 pillared mandapa in front of the main entrance vecent.
