It is a storied building. the roof has errected structures on the four sides each structure is similar in construction. This is different from other palaces and there is no mottaduppu roof verging decorations . The roof is square at the base and conical at the top. It is tiled. It is typical Kerala style. This palace bares the symbol of the government of Travancore under the maharajas. Symbol is the conch shell in the middle with elephants on either side facing the conch shell. |
