| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | Gurdwara Mal Akhara Sahib was the family home of Guru Angad Dev. It is a historic and ancient Gurdwara, a place of many Sikh historic firsts. The first gathering of the Sangat was organized here. A Langar of Kheer was prepared by Mata Khivi Ji with her own hands. Here GURU SAHIB taught Gurmukhi script to children. The first school of Gurmukhi was also started here. |

This is a double storey Gurudawara built on a rectangular plan. The main entrance is approached by shed opening into a long path leading to main shrine. The main shrine is approached by a wooden door having decorated fa ade. The upper storey has aerial windows flat roof above. The structure has bulbous ribbed dome having Bengali Chattri in front of it. There are two other domes on either side of the roof. |

The structure is built using bricks, lime and plaster,marble flooring. The doors and windows are made up of wood. The shed is made up of iron. |
