| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | The original Gurdwara was constructed here by Sardar Hardial Singh of Bela in 1831. It was replaced during the 1960 s by a new complex raised under the supervision of Bhai Piara Singh of Jhar Sahib and later on Bhai Bishan Singh of Amritsar. |

It is also known as Gurudwara Shahid Ganj. This Gurdwara marks the site where the thickest hand to hand fighting took place in December 1704 between the Mughal army and the Sikhs, including the Sahibzadas and three of the original five Panj Pyare. |

It is built on a rectangular plan. It is based on a raised plinth approached through stairs. It is a double storey building. The main entrance gateway has two domical chattri and one Bengali chattri in the middle. There are windows on all four sides on first floor. The square sanctum has octagonal turrets on all four corners. These turrets are crowned with ribbed domes. The main dome is a bulbous ribbed dome with inverted lotus and finial. The main dome in the center stands on the second storey which has balcony on all four sides. |
