| Brief History / संक्षिप्त इतिहास | Government Mohindra College was founded by H.H Maharaja Mohindra Singh 1852-76 of Patiala to his subjects.the college was established to provide free education to the state subjects as this region was educationally impoverished. The foundation stone of the college was laid on 30th March 1875. The building was completed in about nine years and Lord Viceroy performed the opening ceremony on 17th March 1884. |

It is a double-storey building built on a rectangular plan. It has a porch in front of the building. The central part of the building is double-storey consisting of gabled roof. The building is attached by two towers at the corners. The structure has semi-circular arched openings. These arches consist of rectangular wooden doors with semi-circular truss and glass windows. The building has a garden in front of it. |
